Our Founders

Oceanside Staffing was founded by husband-and-wife team, Rachael Hudson-Svolis and Nick Svolis, who share a lifelong commitment to serving families at the highest level.

Nick brings more than 20 years of experience in private service, from managing life aboard some of the world's most distinguished super yachts to overseeing one of Harbor Island's most prestigious estates. His background gives him a practical yet thoughtful perspective on what it takes to run a seamless household.

Rachael adds a complementary path of her own. She began her career as a nanny and private educator for high-net-worth families, where her master's degree in education shaped her approach. After many years in yachting, she broadened her expertise in service and operations before co-founding Oceanside. Today, she continues to draw on those experiences in guiding placements with care, insight, and attention to detail.

Together, Rachael and Nick believe that families deserve more than simply filling positions. Oceanside is committed to building trusted household teams who embody private service professionalism with the emotional intelligence to anticipate needs, the judgement to know when to step in or step back, and the discretion to operate seamlessly in the background. On average, our matching process typically takes between 2-4 weeks to find your perfect match; however, during our initial consultation, we will always ask about your timing constraints. Agency Fees

To begin our search, we require a $500 engagement fee. We offer several placement options depending on the level of replacement guarantee desired. All Placement Fees are based on the candidate’s gross annual compensation and are subject to a minimum fee of $10,000:

  • 20% Placement Fee — includes a 90-day replacement guarantee

  • 23% Placement Fee — includes a 120-day replacement guarantee

  • 24% Placement Fee — includes a 150-day replacement guarantee

  • 25% Placement Fee — includes a 180-day replacement guarantee

Additional fees may apply for short-term placements or positions in especially high demand at the time of hire.

We specialize in candidates comfortable adapting to multi-residence arrangements and travel itineraries. We also recruit childcare specialists when requested, such as ROTA nannies, governesses, night nannies, and Newborn Care Specialists (NCS).

  • Placed nannies often hold childcare-related degrees, teaching credentials, or experience in early education and developmental care. We ensure each placement brings both skill and emotional intelligence to your home.

  • Our focus is on full-time placements, as these foster the most stable and rewarding outcomes for principals and domestic staff alike. However, limited seasonal or interim placements may be possible depending on timing and demand.
